What we collect, why, and what we don't do with it.

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This policy explains how Wavn Inc. (“Wavn”) handles your information. The short version: your thinking isn't our product. We don't sell your data and we don't run ads.

What we collect

  • Account information, what you give us when you sign up, such as name, email, and details you choose to share.
  • Your content, the canvases, waves, sparks, documents, schedules, and decisions you create in Wavn, and files you upload to the Vault.
  • Connection data, when you connect a third-party service (GitHub, Slack, Google, Stripe, Telegram, and others), we store the tokens and identifiers needed to operate that connection on your behalf, and nothing more than the connection requires.
  • Usage data, basic information about how Wavn is used so we can improve it (which features are used, when you're active). We capture an approximate region and timezone to understand where members are; we don't track precise location.

How we use it

  • To provide and operate Wavn for you.
  • To send your prompts to the AI mind you invoke so it can respond.
  • To operate the integrations you have explicitly connected.
  • To improve the product and understand how it's used in aggregate.
  • To communicate with you about your account and the service.
  • To keep the service safe: abuse prevention, security monitoring, and enforcing fair-use limits.

AI minds

When you use a wave, the relevant prompt and context are sent to the mind you invoke, Claude, Gemini, or Cohere, to generate a response. OpenAI is never used. These providers process the request under their own terms to return your answer. We send only what the request needs, and your prompts are not used by us to build advertising profiles of any kind.

Who processes data for us

Wavn runs on a small set of infrastructure providers, each used for one job: managed database and authentication, application hosting, network protection, transactional email, the AI model providers named above, and analytics in aggregate. Each processes data only to provide its service to us. We don't hand your content to anyone for their own purposes, and we add providers deliberately, not casually.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your personal data. Not to anyone, not in aggregate disguises.
  • We don't use your content to serve advertising. Wavn has no ads.
  • We don't read your workspaces except as needed to operate the service, investigate abuse, or as required by law.

Storage, security & retention

Your data is stored in a managed, access-controlled database, isolated at the row level per workspace, and encrypted in transit. See Security for the fuller picture. We keep your content for as long as your account is active. When you delete content, it's removed from your workspace, and derived copies are cleaned up over time. When you delete your account, we delete your data within a reasonable period, except where law requires longer retention.

International use

Wavn operates internationally, with infrastructure primarily in the United States. By using Wavn you understand your data is processed in the US and wherever our providers operate, under this policy's protections regardless of geography.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. If you're in a jurisdiction with statutory data rights (GDPR, CCPA, and similar), we honor those rights for everyone, not just where the law compels it. We don't discriminate against anyone for exercising them.

Children

Wavn is not directed at children and is not for use by anyone under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from children; if you believe a child has an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

Cookies

We use a small set of cookies needed to run the service, with no advertising or cross-site tracking. See our Cookie Policy.

Changes & contact

We'll update this policy as the product evolves and notify members of material changes; the date at the top always tells you when it last moved. Questions or requests: privacy@wavn.app.
